Ilke Rola is kunstenaar en grafisch ontwerper die haar inspiratie vindt in het combineren van verschillende media en materialen. Haar werk beweegt zich tussen tekenen, schilderen, keramiek, fotografie en grafische vormgeving, disciplines die ze samenbrengt tot een werk of startpunt voor een nieuw onderzoek. In haar praktijk staan experiment en het onderzoeken van omgeving en materiaal centraal. Ze studeerde in 2017 af aan de afdeling Beeld en Taal van de Gerrit Rietveld Academie.
Ilke Rola is an artist and graphic designer who draws her inspiration from combining different media and materials. Her work moves between drawing, painting, ceramics, photography, and graphic design; disciplines she brings together into a single work or uses as a starting point for new explorations. Experimentation and the investigation of environment and material are central to her practice. She graduated in 2017 from the Image and Language department at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie.
